Some collections from several trips Mark Seifert Photography has taken to “the Rock”.
Newfoundland is a very friendly, laid back, and interesting place, with plenty of heritage ranging from Vikings to the Irish.
In some of the photos you can notice the various types of rock that make up Newfoundland. Some of the rock is layered, and the layers are tilted. A geologist explained to me that approx. 400 million years ago, the continents collided, and the pressure forced the rock upwards. The redish / orangish rock found in some areas is the same rock that is in Moracco.
